Tribal tattoo is the first form of tattoo that we find in the history, in tribal cultures from around the world. The oldest tattooed known body is a man of the Bronze Age 5000 BC, found on an Italian glacier. In this body both arms, legs and torso with representations of mythical creatures were tattooed.
Tattoos were practiced by both sexes, to adorn and beautify bodies, as well as to express personalities.
Usually tattoos were also used to identify the person, her or his origins, local identity and religious beliefs.
As far as I am concerned “Tribal” means unconscious and ancestral images that, through their coloured or white and black stroke and its lines, bring to conscious emotions and asleep or forgotten memories since the dawn of time.. evoking the languages of spirit, unleashing bridled energies from the rational mind.
